Coonrod, Larry
Larry Ivan Coonrod, 71, of Mesa, AZ died Saturday April 21, 2012 at home, of cancer. Larry was born June 26, 1940 in Urbana Iowa, the son of Ivan and Evelyn (Rosekrans) Coonrod. Larry was united in marriage with Sandra Gelski April 1959. He later was married to Betty Nelsen Bascom on April 21, 1983. Larry was a heavy haul specialist most of his life. Larry is survived by his wife Betty, 2 sons, Troy (Mary) and Tory (Monica) Coonrod, a stepson Kim (Oxana) Bascom, a granddaughter Jennifer Coonrod, a grandson Justin Coonrod, 4 step granddaughters Ieleah Pitkin, Kenzie Coonrod, Mykenzi Davis and Nicole McGee and 5 great grandsons, and his special 4-legged friend Rusty, a sister Marlys Tritle of Minnesota, mother in law Edna Ehresman of Iowa, 4 sister in laws, Barbara Coonrod, Susan Hepker, Lola Maher, Patricia Sterner - all of Iowa. He loved old cars and Nascar. The viewing for Larry Coonrod will be held at Sonoran Skies Mortuary, in Mesa (5650 E. Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85205) on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 5:00-7:00pm. The service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 10:00-11:00am.

Betty and family, You know how saddened we are at Larry's passing. As we said Betty, he is no longer in pain and is happy with the Father of us all..We Love you all and wish we could be there, but will see you soon. Uncle Bob and Aunt Pat.
