Sabye, Evelyn "Evie" Marie
78, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on November 17th, 2012. Evie lived the first half of her life in Illinois; Born in Midlothian, started a family in Chicago, settled in Hoffman Estates where she was an active member in the PTA and Women's Club until she and her family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1973 where she briefly worked for Prudential Insurance and would spend her retirement years with the love of her life. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, camping, card games with her family and was a passionate reader of books and had an additional talent for reading people. She was also known for her love of gardening and animals, especially dogs, to which she was always happy to donate table scraps. Despite a long battle with Alzheimer's, Evie still managed to bring joy to everyone around with a smile that could light up a room. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 58 years, John Edward Sabye, her four children; Karen Georgi, Brian (Cindy) Sabye, Glenn (Alice) Sabye and Diann (John) Houseman, nine grandchildren and her older sister Ellen Karpen.
