Bayles, Donna Lee  
Bayles, Donna Lee Donna Lee Bayles was called to heaven on June 23, 2016. She was born to Robert Randall Pence and Ada Lorraine Lynch on April 1, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio. Donna married the love of her life, George T. Bayles on June 18, 1966. She attended ASU and then received a B.S. from Grand Canyon University in 1985. Donna enjoyed everything having to do with art and math, but especially loved painting. She also adored little furry animals and her children. Donna is survived by her husband of 50 years, George; loving children, Rusty (Heather), Randy, and Kallee (Mark) Amols; brother, John (Lillian) Pence; sister, Sandra (Phil) Kinsey; and eight grandchildren. Services will be held at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. A visitation will be held on June 30 from 5-8 pm and a funeral service will be held on July 1 at 1:00 pm.

Blainey, Antionette "Toni"  
Blainey, Antionette "Toni" 77, passed away on June 23rd, 2016, after a long courageous battle with alzheimers. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, and she will be dearly missed. She was born in Pennsylvania, but moved as a young girl to Michigan, where she grew up with her brothers, Tony, Vito, and Billy. She loved her brothers, and she had a close relationship with them throughout her life. She was a secretary with Ford Motor Company for many years, but moved out to Arizona in 1977 with husband Bob to explore new horizons. In 1981, she joined Mary Kay Cosmetics, and it was then that she found her true calling. She worked very hard and quickly climbed the ladder of success in Mary Kay to Senior Sales Director. She had unique gift of making others feel good about themselves and believe in themselves. With her beautiful smile and outgoing personality, she touched many lives, made many friends, and had a lot of fun. She was a member of Calvary Church for many years, until she could no longer attend due to her illness. She loved the Lord, her family and friends, but her four grandchildren were truly the light of her life. She is preceded in death by husband Robert, and brother's Tony and Vito. She is survived by her daughter Shelley, Sons Bill Jr. and Jeff, Grandchildren Natalie, Nikki, Gannon, and Kierra, great-grandchildren Ryder, Maysen, and Maverick and Brother Bill. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 1st, 10 a.m. at Regency Mortuary 9850 W. Thunderbird Blvd, Sun City AZ 85351.

Brown, David Anthony  
Brown, David Anthony 59, of Chino Valley, Arizona passed away on June 17, 2016. David worked the majority of his career at the City of Phoenix, retiring in 2010 after 26 years. After moving to the Prescott, Arizona area, he became a volunteer Arizona Ranger of the Lonesome Valley detachment. Finding his dream home in Chino Valley with his own 'man cave garage', he enjoyed his time working on various projects as well as a collectible car. David is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary L. (Molly), daughter Katie N. Baxter, son-in-law Abe and 3 grandsons, James, Layne and Jase, and sisters Phyllis A. Wallace and Catherine Jean Burton. He is preceded in death by his parents Catherine Josephine (French) Brown and Winfred Roy Brown. David was under the wonderful care of Maggie's Hospice of Prescott and elected to make a whole body donation through Science Care. At David's request, no services will be held. Donations can be made to Maggie's Hospice, 314 N. Alarcon St, Prescott, AZ 86301.

Barnett, Jerry "Barney" Wayne passed away June 20, 2016 in Phoenix, AZ. Jerry was born on August 27, 1946 in Phoenix, AZ, and he was a native Arizonan who raised two children as a single parent. He had a love for animals and continually rescued them from streets and shelters. He was a well-known respected welder, metal fabricator, and designer of sprint cars during the 1970's and 80's. Jerry was also known for his amazing sense of humor and infectious laughter. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Geraldine Barnett, he is survived by his daughter, Wendy Kinion, son, Jerry Barnett Jr., sister, Cheryl Anderson, 2 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren and loved by many close friends and family. A celebration of life service will be held at Heritage Funeral Chapel, on Sunday, June 26th at 11:30am at 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd Peoria, AZ 85381

Best, Stanley Albert 70, of Tempe, AZ, a Vietnam veteran and retired U.S. Army Sergeant first class, went home to be with the Lord on June 21, 2016 after a brave battle with cancer. Stan was born February 2, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY to Lassalle and Dorothy Best who preceded him to Glory along with his siblings Lassalle, Constance and Jeffrey. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Corine E. Best, his son Danny K. Bailey, daughter Danise K. Jones, son-in-law Roland L. Jones, son Matthew L. Best, daughter-in-law Laura E. Best, and grandchildren Brendan C. Bailey, Teleya K. Bailey, Roosevelt P. Best and Malcolm "Stanley" Best, along with many treasured nieces and nephews. When we think of our loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle we remember how he put others before himself and had an amazing way of making someone feel that they were the center of his world. He will be truly missed. A memorial service will be held promptly at 9:30 am on Tuesday June 28th, 2016 at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85024.

Blake, Lee  
Blake, Lee Lee Blake passed away Sunday, June 19th, 2016. He was 58. Lee was born on October 6, 1957 in Knox, Indiana to Louis and Patricia Blake. He lived in Fort Wayne with his parents and two brothers until heading off to college at Indiana University. He graduated in 1981 and moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Lee spent more than 10 years in sales and finance management in the auto business before attending law school at Arizona State University. The shift was natural; his deep-rooted sense of ethics, force and determination propelled him through the demanding curriculum and his winning Arizona State University's Closing Argument Competition against the University of Arizona was just one of his numerous achievements. He graduated in 1995 and spent the next 20 years practicing law. His impact was profound. Lee was known for working hard, working smart and being a pillar of objectiveness, which spilled from the courtroom into his role as confidante and mentor to his family, friends and students. Lee has three children. Some of his best memories include taking them camping and on road trips as they all grew up. He was a loving, compassionate and deeply caring father who would drop it all to be by their sides when needed. They will miss his quick and searing wit, his passion for cooking and teaching them how and the many seasons spent together rooting for the Cardinals. Lee is survived by his mother Patricia; three children, Shannon, Brennan (Kristin) and Bridget; brother David; nieces and nephews David, Chris and Allison, along with countless friends. He is preceded in death by his father Louis and brother Thomas. Visitation will be from 3:00 - 4:00 P.M. with a Memorial Service at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Memorials to fund a scholarship in Lee's name can be sent to the ASU Foundation, Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, Attention: Jo Hahne, 111 East Taylor Street, Phoenix, Arizona, 85004. His deep-rooted sense of ethics, force, and determination propelled him.
