Morrow, Paul C. passed away on Nov.24, 2014 at his home with family surrounding him. He is now is with his Lord and is at peace. Paul was born Feb. 8th, 1924 in Nebo, Ky. to Paul and Ruth Morrow. At the age of five he moved to Akron, Ohio where he spent his youth. In the 8th grade his auditioned and was chosen to sing in the prestigious men's and boy's choir at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church. He sang there through his high school years. After graduation in 1942 Paul joined the Navy and was stationed at Lakehurst Naval air Station in New Jersey. While there he sang in the choir and performing at many Bond selling rallies and hospitals. Paul married his High School sweetheart, Elaine, at the base chapel in 1944. After his discharge they went to New York where he auditioned and was hired as a soloist with the men's chorus. He performed there for five years along with the famous "Rocketts". In 1953 Paul and Elaine, along with their two sons, moved to Phoenix for health reasons. They joined the First Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. Soon after he was hired as music director in the American Baptist Churches and did this for 30 years. In 1954 he became the soloist for A. L. Moore Mortuary and continued that for 14 years. In 1958 he started his insurance career and continued until his retirement in 1989. He and Elaine were very active in Phoenix Musical Theater doing the leads in several shows. Paul was a member of the Phoenix Orpheus Chorus for over 25 years also serving as the asst. director. In later years he became the director of the Orpheus Emeritus Chorus. Paul is survived by his wife of 70 years, sons Paul (Dianna), Tim (Chris), 6 Grandchildren Kelly, Tina, Jeff, Christopher, Jason (Sara), Alisha, Ryan and 1 Great-Grandson Talan. A memorial service will be held at 10:30A.M. Feb. 14, 2015 the Beatitudes Campus Life Center. Located at 1610 W. Glendale Ave. Phoenix, AZ.
