Utley, Aimee Corinne Youngblood
92, our loving sister, aunt and great aunt, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 6, 2013. Her family and friends will greatly miss her but take great comfort in knowing she now resides in heaven. She will always be remembered as a loving and humble woman of God. Corinne was born May 20, 1921 in Collinwood, Tennessee to Matthew Youngblood and Lennie Bates Fair. She spent most of her young life in Tennessee and after moved to Flint, Michigan and Indianapolis, Indiana. She loved working as an executive administrator for General Motors
. She was known for her service in the church. She had a passion for cooking, right up to her last days on the earth, she was thinking about cooking. Christmas was always special because she loved to make candy, cookies and pies. She was an avid reader. She loved nature and enjoyed watching the quail, and rabbits and looking at the beautiful flowers in her back yard. Her real joy was talking to her younger brother James Youngblood on the phone. One of her most memorable times was going to England with her sister in law Agatha Youngblood. She was married to the late Mort Utley, a national speaker, pastor, and insurance executive. They moved to Phoenix in 1971 and served at the Mesa Church of Christ, and the Camelback Church of Christ. She had a lifetime of sharing her faith. While frugal in her own life, she was abundantly generous to those around her. Corinne is survived by her brother, and sister in law James and Agatha Youngblood; niece Jill Youngblood Dobbs and her husband Paul Dobbs; great niece Caroline Dobbs and great nephews Jake and Max Dobbs. Fair, great nephew Jason Fair and his wife Amanda. Visitation will be Saturday, September 14th from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale. A memorial service celebrating Corinne's life will follow visitation at 11:00AM and reception after the service.
