Girting, Betty C.
of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on Thursday, Febuary 20, 2014 from complications from a fall. Betty was born on May 17, 1924 in Tipton, IN, daughter of the late Calvin Suits and Lovie Suits Burton. She graduated from Alexandria High School in 1942. She was a hair dresser in Alexandria for a number of years before leaving that field to become a full-time homemaker. In later years, Betty enjoyed working with Angels in the Attic estate sales, where everyone loved her. She is survived by her loving husband, John A. Girting, of nearly 68 years. Also surviving are two daughters, Paige Girting Falasco (and husband Bruce Falasco) of West Hartford, CT, and Robin Maratta (and husband Brian Siembieda) of Phoenix; two sisters, Beverly Weaver, and Alysia Thurston; and a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Two sisters predeceased Betty, Yvonne Goens and Carcella Wiley.
