Scott, Cecil James
85 of Phoenix, passed away on October 20, 2012. A native Phoenician, he was born October 2, 1927 to the parentage of the late Sidney and Callie Scott. Upon graduation from Carver High School he attended Phoenix College prior to enlisting in the United States Army
. Upon discharge from the army, he attended Arizona State College
at Tempe. For 32 years he served as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings. He leaves to mourn his cherished memory, his wife of 60 years, Juanita, his daughter, Karen Scott-Moore, a son Gregory Scott (Terri) and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of life will be held at Tanner Chapel A.M.E. church on Thursday October, 25th at 11:00 a.m. 20 S. 8th St in Phx, AZ. Internment to follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery. No viewing is planned.
