Herrin, Charles David "Charlie"
Born on September 20, 1932, took God's hand and returned home on February 26, 2013. Charlie, known by those who knew, loved and respected him, lived life to the fullest. He devoted himself to his first love, his family, and his second, Phoenix Newspapers. His career spanned more than 48 years of loyal service, culminating as a Circulation Zone Manager. He approached everything he did with enthusiasm, passion, and a dedication few can match. Charlie is survived by his loving wife and soul-mate of more than 60 years, Carol; five children; Sharon, Randy (Kay), Steve (Jan), Mark (Dianna) and Gail (Dan), 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Charlie also had many cherished friends who brightened his life. His honesty, integrity and positive spirit left an influence on those who knew him, and he will be dearly missed. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Arizona Lodge #2, the North Phoenix Lion's Club and the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks. A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Evening Light Fellowship Church, 2819 W. Maryland Ave, Phoenix, Az., 85017. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested, in Charlie's name, to the National Parkinson's Foundation, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018, Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Edna Herrin, sisters, Virginia (Ginny) Fromm and Nancy Parker- Dixon, and brothers, Teddy and Roger.
