Clifton Robert Bohner

Bohner, Clifton Robert
89 of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on June 9, 2013. Known as Bob to his family, and Clif by his coworkers, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was born May 22, 1924 in St. Joseph, MO. Bob proudly served in World War II for 33 months, 24 of which were in Europe and N. Africa. He was honorably discharged in 1946 and later reenlisted in 1951 in the Army Air Corp during the Korean War. Bob graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in business and spent over 35 years working for Armour Foods. While working for Armour he lived in St. Joseph MO, Peoria IL, Chicago IL, and his final transfer was to Phoenix in 1973 where he retired in 1986. Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rosetta Windsor, his son Tom, daughter-in-law Rhonda, and two grandchildren, Ryan 26 and Carrie 24. Son Robert preceded Bob in death in 2000. Bob and Rosetta enjoyed exploring Arizona and traveled extensively around the world. In his later years Bob was passionate about his genealogy research, he was a member of the Moila Shrine Temple in St. Joseph for over 40 years, and most recently was a Lion's Club member. A visitation will be at 8:30 am, memorial service at 9:30 am, on Thursday, June 20th at Best Funeral, 501 E. Dunlap, Phoenix. His burial will be at the National Cemetery on Cave Creek Road at 11am.
