63, from Chandler Arizona passed on July 1, 2013. On this date we lost a visionary, an advocate, a leader in the truest sense. Better known as "Papo" to his family and community, he served as a key leader in the development and growth of behavioral health services at Chicanos por la Causa (CPLC) for 28 years. He is a 40-year veteran in the substance abuse, mental health and social service field. Of Puerto Rican decent, he was born and raised in the Bronx to parents Domingo and Delia on September 29, 1949. Papo is survived by his wife Pamela; son, Daniel, step-daughters, Christina & Elicia and grandson Joseph. Brother Kookie (Lilly), Sisters Betsy (Walter), and Lizzie (Hector). He also is survived by numerous family members in Arizona and Puerto Rico. A celebration of life event will be held at Crescent Crown Distributing Center, 1640 W. Broadway Rd. Mesa AZ. 85202 on July 13, 2013 at 5:30pm.
