Alexander, Donald B.
86, of Glendale, AZ passed away on August 1, 2011. He was born to Tilmon and Ruth Alexander on Sept. 16, 1924 in Los Angeles, California. He was one of ten brothers and moved to Arizona at an early age where he lived the rest of his life.He graduated from Prescott High School in 1942 and entered the US Army
serving in the European Theater. He was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad for over 35 years as a telegrapher and station agent. He served faithfully for many years on the board of trustees of the 16th St Church of God in Phoenix. His first wife Rosalie Thomason Alexander preceded him in death in 1967. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Lela Barcus Alexander, Linda Alexander Brown of Troutdale, OR.,son Jim of Annandale, VA, four grandchildren, Nathan Brown, Sharyn Brown, Scott Alexander, Ian Alexander, and his last living brothers, Martin Alexander of Ocala,FL and Tom Alexander of Long Beach, CA A memorial service will be held on Wednesday August 10th at 2PM at the Glendale Cascade Retirement Community Clubhouse at 5747 W. Missouri Ave, Glendale. Private burial will be made at Greenwood Memorial Park. Memorial may be made to the charity of your choice.
