Doug Kingdon

Kingdon, Doug
age 75 of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away September 17th 2013. Doug was born in Worcester, Mass in 1938. He, with his family, moved to Phoenix in 1945. He attended North Phoenix High school. After High School he joined the US Navy in San Diego California where he met his wife Barb. After this tenure he moved back to Phoenix, joined the Phoenix Police Department and started his family. Doug was employed with the police department for 23 years. After his retirement he started a second career with Farmers Insurance in investigations, which lasted 15 years. Doug then returned to the City Of Phoenix as part time law enforcement presence in the Office of the Mayor, where he still worked at the time of his death. Doug had an incredible gift that he could fix anything, and often did for his many lifelong friends. He was selfless man and always offered his help, or advise, in someone's time of need. Doug is survived by his Loving wife of 54 years Barb, his sister Rhoda Stewart (Leon), his daughter Kellie Owen (John), and son Russ (Martha) and his 4 grandchildren Grant, Madison, Curt, Grey and Mimi .
