Emmett E. Alred

Emmett E. Alred, 88, of Phoenix - Your smile that filled our hearts left
us Dec. 27, 2006. You are missed immensely by your son, Emmett J. Alred, your daughter, Judy (Fred) Thompson, your grandchildren Kym, Chris, Jerry, Steve, Brandt, Karen and Erin, and great-grandchildren, Tanner, Reese, Elizabeth, Bailey and Vincent. He was preceded in death by his son Paul and wife Lena. Emmett was born in Piedmont, AL on Apr. 12, 1918. After serving in World War II, he married Lena Amato on Oct. 12, 1945. They were Phoenix residents for over 60 years. Emmett was the owner/operator of the Mayflower Donut Shop, distributing to stores throughout AZ and CA. He was a dedicated husband, loving father and caring grandfather. He was deeply loved by will be missed by all. A Mass will be celebrated on Sat., Dec. 30th at 9:30 am, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 3550 E. Knox Rd., Phx. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phx. Tempe Mortuary handling arrangements.
