Florence M. Padavano, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, entered into eternal rest on June 4, 2014 after a long illness. Florence was a giving soul who freely gave her time to help others. During World War II, she helped her country by working at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Florence was an active member of the Women's Auxiliary League of the VFW. She was also an active member and past president of the American Legion in Pine Bush. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph J. Padavano whom she married on March 23, 1945 at St. Augustine Parish in Brooklyn, NY. Florence is survived by her children: Ronald Padavano and his wife Elvira of Goshen, NY, Carol Rauscher and her husband William of Reading, VT, James Padavano and his wife Susan of Sedona, AZ, and Denise Padavano of Peoria, AZ. She is survived by her grandchildren: Melissa Kaloz and her husband Steven, Jaime Hansen and her husband Tory, Tasha Manganelli and her husband Scott, Nathan Rauscher, Anthony Padavano, Jonathan Rauscher and his wife Sarah, Julianna Desmarais and her husband Jason, and Sarah Rauscher. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held Monday June 9th at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd., Peoria, AZ from 2:00 to 4:00 pm with a funeral service to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to in memory of Florence Padavano.
