Hipp, Frank L. Jr.
(81) of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away at Eckstein Center on March 15, 2014, after a short illness. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 22, 1932 to the late Frank L. Hipp Sr. and Clara (Ott) Hipp. Frank married the love of his life, the late Ruth E. (Buckenmeyer) Hipp, on October 1, 1955. Frank spent his entire working career with Graybar Electric. He started as a warehousemen in Toledo, rising up through the company, to become District Vice President and member of the Board of Directors, and retired in Phoenix after 43 years of service. He held numerous positions in the interim, relocating frequently. Frank loved to camp and fish, taking every opportunity to enjoy both activities with friends and family. He was devoted to his church and a lifelong member of the Elks Lodge. Frank was a multi-sport lettered athlete at Central Catholic High School in Toledo, Ohio, where he was inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000 as part of the 1948-1949 Boys Basketball Team. Frank was predeceased by his son James F. Hipp. He is survived by four children: Ron & Debbie Hipp of Keller, TX; Mary Jo & Rod Sissons of Westmont, IL; Janet & Pat Giordano of San Antonio, TX; and Teresa Hipp of Scottsdale, AZ. He is also survived by his sister, Rita & Moses Johnson, of Philadelphia, PA and four grandchildren, Micah Basarich, Kimberly and Robert Teel, Andrew Giordano and Michael Giordano, as well as a host of extended family and friends. All will miss his exuberant zest for life and his infectious laugh. Funeral arrangements will be provided by Messinger Mortuaries, 7601 E. Indian School Rd. in Scottsdale with visitation on Tuesday, 3/18 from
