Hallock, Georganne Gibson
Georganne Hallock was born in Mesa, Arizona at the Dana Nursery Home on August 25, 1935; she passed away on February 9, 2014 and will be laid to rest with her family, the Gibson's and the Anderson's in the Mesa Cemetery. Her great grandfather John Logie Anderson was the first homesteader to stay and develop their property in Gilbert, Arizona in 1891. Her husband, Dale Hallock and Georganne have celebrated 60 years of marriage. They have four children; Michael, Leilani Wilson, Gordon, and Kimberly DeMoss and they have thirteen living grand-children, two having preceded Georganne's passing, and 16 living great grand-children, with two of those also having passed away. Georganne is a graduate of Mesa High School where she was a Rabette and later a Cheer Leader, she attended Arizona State. Georganne was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority chapter in Mesa for several years. She served one year as President of the Sorority. As a convert to the Mormon Church in 1968, she filled many teaching assignments and served the Gilbert First Ward as Relief Society President. She and her husband Dale, loved to fish and travel together. Her great joy in life has been being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her large family. A viewing for Georganne will be held at 9:00 AM, Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Gilbert Ward Building, 1150 W. Elliot Rd., Gilbert, AZ and the funeral will follow at 10:00 AM. Dedication of the grave will follow at the Mesa City Cemetery, in Mesa, AZ.
