George R. "Bob" Delp

Delp, George R. (Bob)
77, of Scottsdale, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 9, 2013. Born February 24, 1936 in Chester, PA, Bob was preceded in death by his parents Opal O. and Louisa A. (Chandler) Delp and his brother Richard. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rosalie (Ogden); daughter Holly Boudro (Robert); son Gregory; grandson Brandon Reiter; granddaughter Cassie Boudro and many nieces and nephews. Bob served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1959. He met and married his wife while stationed in Salina, KS on April 4, 1959. After his discharge from the Air Force Bob worked for DuPont until he retired in 1991. He loved sports and was a supporter of the Coyotes, Cardinals, D-Backs and Suns. He played golf, his favorite hobby, until his death. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in Kansas and camping with family and friends near the Mogollon Rim as well as playing regularly in poker games. His family and friends will miss his honesty, generosity and humor. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 18th from 6-8pm with a time of sharing at 7pm at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road in Scottsdale, In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 22, 1510 N. 79th St., Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
