Gerald Mark Harden, 83, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on March 11, 2014. Gerald worked in the mines in MN as a young man. Later he supported his family by working in the refrigeration and heating field, owning and operating his own business. But he was especially proud of several homes he singlehandedly built on land that he had purchased in Cave Creek, AZ. Not only did he labor with skill; he trusted God for the means and was not disappointed in his faith. Gerald loved his family and, especially in his later years, devoted significant time to prayer on their behalf. He was a good friend and maintained friendships founded in childhood throughout his life. Gerald was predeceased by two children: Glee and Kim, he is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Phyllis Harden, Children: Wesley Harden, Cheryl (Bennie) James, Mark (Evonne) Harden, Jackie (Bob) Westbrook, Siblings: Muriel Jensen, Tookie (Joseph) Ellison, Wesley Richard (Cindy) Harden, Steve Whirley, 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary 200 W. Beardsley Rd. Phoenix, Arizona.
