Harold Behrendt

Behrendt, Harold
87 of Mesa AZ passed away peacefully in his sleep on Nov 25th, 2012 after battling Parkinson disease for 17 years. He was born Sept 11th, 1925 in Chicago IL. He served in the Navy during World War II on a minesweeper. Afterwards he became a design engineer for Eureka X-Ray Tubes. He moved to AZ from Elk Grove Vlg in 91. Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie (2010) and his parents Ernest and Frieda Behrendt. He is survived by his daughter Holly Sawicky and his son Mark, his grandchildren Amy Sawicky, Sharon (James) Yates and Stephen Sawicky, great grandchildren Nathan, Bryce and Stephen and his sister Marilyn (Ed) Irsch. Harold's strong religious beliefs and his faith in God made him a dedicated, loving and amazing family man. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be missed beyond words. There is comfort in knowing that he is now with his heavenly family and we shall meet again. Visitation will held 3:30-4:30 Friday Nov 30th, funeral service to follow at 4:30 at Mariposa Gardens 6747 East Broadway Road Mesa AZ.
