Henry (Hank) McElvery passed away September 25, 2012. He was born on May 29, 1943 in Old Greenwich, CT and spent his childhood there. He graduated from Marquette University in 1965 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. It was there that he met his first wife Susan with whom he had three children, Henry, Paul and Alison. Henry later lived in Scottsdale with his second wife Patricia. Hank was a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin and Arizona. Due to his natural ability to work with people, his career was in engineering sales and management. Hank spent his early career in Wisconsin working for Ingersoll Rand and Wisconsin Compressed Air. While still in Wisconsin he entered into the field of natural gas vehicle fueling stations. That brought him to California for a brief period and then to Scottsdale where he spent the last 20 years. Hank was a true "people person" who always derived the most out of life. He had a terrific sense of humor and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Hank was a great father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle and friend. Hank was preceded in death by his father and mother (Harold and Stacia). He is survived by his children, Henry, Paul and Alison; grandchildren Emily, Graylin, Grace, and Addison; his
sister Mary Jane and her husband Paul; a nephew, three nieces and their children. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 4th at 1:00 P.M. at Franciscan Renewal Center, 5802 E. Lincoln Dr., Scottsdale, AZ 85253 with reception to follow in the Father Owen Room at the church.
