Hugh Cart

Cart, Hugh
81, passed away on October 27, 2012 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Hugh lived more than four decades in Scottsdale, AZ, but was born in Iota, LA, deep in Cajun country. He was graduated from Louisiana State University and served in the Air Force. Hugh married Jean Faulkner and together they raised three children while traveling the country for the Air Force and working at General Electric. Hugh and his family moved to Scottsdale in 1968 to work for Honeywell and quickly fell in love with the desert. He lived his life by the Cajun maxim, "Let the good times roll!" Hugh is survived by his wife Jean of Scottsdale, AZ, sons Mike Cart of Fountain Hills, AZ and Allen Cart of Tempe, AZ., daughter Julie Cart of Pasadena, CA and grandchildren Tyler and Makenna Cart of Phoenix. In Louisiana, Hugh is survived by his sister Anita Reed of Crowley. He was predeceased by his parents Ewell and Edith Cart of Tepetate, his twin brother Hilary Cart of Iota and sister Elaine Bellon of Tepetate. Hugh will be greatly missed but never forgotten. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Messinger Indian School Mortuary 7601 E. Indian School Rd, Scottsdale, AZ.
