Clements, Hugh E.
was born in Waurika, Oklahoma, on June 29, 1926. He served in the US Navy during World War II. After the war, he became an iron worker, moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and was a 65 year member of Ironworker's Local 75. He married S. Bebe Olea in 1949, and was disabled in 1965 while working on the Burro Creek Bridge, near Kingman. Widowed when Bebe passed away in 2008, he died February 18, 2013, and is survived by 3 of their 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Hugh had several nicknames during his life, Coon in Waurika, and Junior on job sites, are notable. Funeral service will be held at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N 7th St at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 2, 2013.
