Kelley, James Lee Sr.
passed away May 18th, after a long illness. Known by both Jim and Jimmy to his family and friends, he was born May 16, 1935. Jim grew up with a love of flying. He went to work for Capital Airlines, October 22, 1959, which later became United Airlines and learned the airline business from the inside out - until he realized his dream of becoming a pilot and finished out his long career with United in the cockpit. He is survived by wife, high school sweetheart, Patricia (Young) Kelley. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Jim, Jr. (Cindy), Leigh Ann (Bob), five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother Jack (Jean) Kelley and sister, Dorothy Ellis. A celebration of Jim's life will be at the Kelley home on June 8th, 2-5p.m. Donations in his honor may be made to: Banner Hospice at Grandview Terrace in Sun City West, Arizona or St. Jude Hospital, Memphis Tennessee.
