Myers, John Patrick Jr.
John Patrick Myers, Jr. (LTC - US Army Retired), 89, of Cave Creek, AZ, passed away early Saturday morning, October 20, 2012 at Mayo Hospital, Phoenix, AZ. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, September 23, 2012 and joined the U. S. Army in 1941. He retired in 1968 as a Lieutenant Colonel after serving in WWII, the Korean War and Vietnam and many other locations and primarily in the Criminal Investigation Division. After retirement he worked with the Agency for International Development in Vietnam and Laos. After living in Chicago for a number of years he moved with his wife to Arizona in 1991. A lifelong learner, he earned a number of degrees and had a passion for worldwide travel. He also enjoyed flying, history and genealogy. He was preceded in death by his parents John Patrick Myers Sr and Henrietta Myers and his ex-wife Margarete Myers. He is survived by his wife Tae Ie Myers, daughters Patricia Birk (Scottsdale, AZ) and Nancy Myers (Burlingame, CA) and sister Kay Kmieciak (Ellicott City, MD).
