Lucretta Chaney, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 9, 2013. She was married to John S. Chaney in 1942 and enjoyed 69 years of marriage. She is survived by her four children; John and Sandra Chaney, Richard Chaney, Tom and Suzanne Jones, and Robert and Deborah Chaney; she also had eight Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. During WWII Lucretta worked as a riveter on aircraft, a.k.a., Rosie the Riveter. It was part of her job to start the aircraft and pilot it out of the hanger before it was put into service. She graduated from JCCC in 1974 and retired from the IRS and FAA in 1986. Lucretta was a member of the Grace Bible Church and the Sun City West Women's Club. She was an avid Bridge player and competitive by nature! She was dearly loved by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends. She will be deeply missed. Services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at 10:00 AM at the Grace Bible Church, 19280 N. 99th Avenue, Sun City, AZ with the Pastor Bill Bjork officiating. Interment will be in Kansas City, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Grace Bible Church or the .
