McQuiston, Marilyn Simis
78, a Phoenix native, passed away on July 28, 2013 following a battle with pancreatic cancer. She fought her disease with courage and grace. Marilyn attended Kenilworth Elementary and North High. She married her high school sweetheart Richard Simis in 1952 and together they raised 6 children. She loved family gatherings, painting, camping, gardening, collecting Native American art and spending time with her circle of girlfriends. Marilyn lived for a period of time in Bellingham, WA and Big Fork, MT with her husband Don and Labrador Annie. Marilyn is survived by her husband, children Cindy Anderson (Andy), Vicky Simis (Garrett), Richard Simis (Melissa), Mimi Hill (Jeff), Allen Simis (Kathy) and Philip Simis (Suzanne), 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. All of her grandchildren called her Dah and she loved each and every one. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 2, 2013 at Brophy Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to , 1510 E. Flower St. Phx, AZ 85014.
