Marion Eunice Held

Held, Marion Eunice
passed away peacefully, at age 91 on May 23, 2014. Marion "Eunice" was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and terrific friend. She was a kind and gentle woman who was a wonderful role model for all. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph of 65 years. She is survived by sons Charles (wife Jane), Kenneth (wife Eva), and daughter Lori Linneman, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Eunice was born December 9, 1922 in Brooklyn, NYC and lived there a short time then the family moved to Queens Village, NYC. After graduating from Jamaica High School in 1939, she worked for an insurance company in downtown New York City typing policies for a few years. When World War II ended, Eunice and Joe married in 1945 and settled down in Queens Village to raise their three children. She went back to work for a local insurance company for ten years when the kids were old enough. In 1980, they moved to Mesa, AZ and happily retired. During the past seven years they resided in a wonderful group home in Gilbert, AZ. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th at 11am at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary with interment at 12:30pm
