Mark William Roth

Roth, Mark William
Mark Roth, 53, of blessed memory, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2012. Mark was born in New York City on September 3rd 1958, and raised in Brooklyn by his parents Jerome (deceased) and Lois Roth. Mark was a proud graduate of Lincoln HS where he excelled academically and was Captain of the basketball team. He continued his education and basketball career at the State University of New York at Binghamton. While attending college he met his loving wife Barbara (Covner). They were married on July 12, 1981 while Mark was attending Fordham Law School. Shortly after graduation, the newlyweds moved to Arizona. Mark specialized in asset protection and bankruptcy law on the debtors side, recently as a partner with Polsinelli Shugart. The greatest passion of his life was his wife Barbara and two beloved children, Jay and Renee. A man of traditional values, he was a devoted father and husband, who wholeheartedly enjoyed life. He was a sports fan and supported Arizona teams, but never forgot his childhood New York heroes. He was a world traveler and enjoyed skiing, the beach, and cruises. Devoted to his heritage, Mark was an active member at Temple Chai, a supporter of Chabad, and donated a workout wing to the JCC. He was a man who touched everyone who crossed his path and the influence of his special character lives on in all of us. Selfless by nature, he was a kind and gentle man. His children possess his many qualities and will carry on the legacy he left behind. Mark is survived by his mother Lois, loving wife Barbara, son Jay, and daughter Renee. Services have been held. Contributions in Mark's honor can be made to the Paradise Valley Emergency Food Bank or to the future Mark W. Roth Foundation.
