Mary Ann Hughes

Hughes, Mary Ann
was called Home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 2, 2014. Born May 6, 1933 in Denver, CO, she spent most of her early years there, graduating from Westminster High School, then attending Central Bible College in MO and holding various jobs in the Denver area. She married Rev. Daniel W. Hughes, the love of her life, in 1954, and they were soon to celebrate 60 yrs of marriage. As a pastor's wife, she and Dan ministered at churches in CO, NM and AZ. She would light up any room she entered, carrying on conversations with all. Refined, gracious, beautiful and loving are only a few of the words which define Mary Ann. Mere words can't express the love Mary Ann had for others, and the love we have for her. She is survived by her husband, Dan, sons Tommy (Debbie), Stephen, and Tim (Mimi), as well as three grandchildren, brothers Warren (Edna) Clark, Hal (Carolyn) Clark and sister Carol (Dale) Jackson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends. Viewing will be held Sunday, March 9 from 3-5 pm and Funeral Service conducted Monday, March 10 at 10 am - both at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, AZ.
