Former Glendale resident Norine Quinlan Dickey, 93, passed away in her sleep on Monday, February 24, 2014 in Rockford, IL. Norine had moved to Illinois two years ago to be nearer to her son and daughter-in-law. Born in Wellsville (OH) on July 30, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Reginald A. and Amelia Kotzur Quinlan. She was a 1938 graduate of Toronto (OH) High School, and received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Kent State University. She taught school in Ohio until 1982, when she moved to Glendale. While in Arizona, Norine continued as a substitute teacher, and later retired to the Thunderbird Retirement Resort. One of her great joys was spending time with the "Lunch Club Girls" at Wendy's. She was preceded in death in 1990 by her husband, Alvin M. Dickey. Norine is survived by her son, John A. Dickey and his wife, Linda, of Caledonia, IL, along with two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1 at Holy Trinity Parish in East Liverpool, Ohio. Arrangements are being handled by the Dawson Funeral Home.
