Goff, Nyola Nedra
Nyola Goff (nee Taggart), 88, passed away peacefully at home on May 17, 2013, in Surprise, AZ. Nyola was born on March 27, 1925, in Denver, CO. She was raised in Long Beach, CA. She married Lt. Col. Theodore "Ted" B. Goff on April 25,1945; their first abode was in Douglas, AZ. It seems fitting that the two of them finally returned to the state of Arizona in 2002 to finish out their lives together, coming full circle. Ted preceded Nyola in death on July 15, 2006. Nyola was an Air Force Officer's wife and lived with Ted in many areas of the US, including two assignments in Hawai'i before it became a state, as well as two years in Germany. She was an excellent housewife and also a nutritional consultant for many years affiliated with Shaklee Corporation. Nyola is survived by her two children: Katie Atwood, and Tim (Jane) Goff; four grandchildren: Jade (Stacie) Crecelius, Vin (Megan) DeCenzo, Theo DeCenzo, and Juliette Goff; and three great-grandchildren: Samantha Crecelius, Mellissa Felty, and Alex Rivas; a beloved niece, Susann Spurlin; numerous nieces and nephews; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bill Figura and Betty Callander, Audie Christianson, Peggy Kozel, Jim and Betty Goff, Fred and Shari Goff, and Kay Colman. Nyola was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Pearl Taggart, her step-father Harry West, brother Philip (Bunny) Taggart, and sister Nyona (Bruce) McMannis. Nyola will be remembered for her outstanding courage in the face of adversity, and her devotion to her beloved husband of 61 years, as well as her love for her children. Cremation will take place at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given in Nyola's name to
