Peacock, Patricia ("Pat") Ann Monsegur
The angels of Heaven celebrated, sang and wept, as our earthly angel, Patricia ("Pat") Ann Monsegur Peacock, stepped through the veil into the arms of her beloved Jesus and loving late parents on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Now she is dancing and celebrating in her perfect immortal body with the heavenly hosts, giving eternal praise to our Father God, forever free of all earthly pain. Pat was born in Morenci, Arizona on February 7, 1945 to her loving parents, Martin and Gloria Monsegur, who has preceded her to Heaven, along with her grandparents, Cipriano and Matilda Cueto, and Lorenzo and Victoria Abaurrea, who have been waiting at Heaven's gate for their beautiful child and grandchild to finally come home. She temporarily leaves behind here on earth her husband, Roger Peacock, at the home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And, Michael and Randy Monsegur, her brother and sister-in-law of Tempe, Arizona; Melissa Monsegur also of Tempe; Martie Monsegur of Glibert, Arizona, and Mitchel Monsegur of Chandler, Arizona, her adoring niece and nephews, and their families and children, along with countless friends. And, of course Chloe, her loving, devoted and dedicated 10 pound dachshund that remained beside her every moment of her final battle.
Pat's childhood home was in Clifton, Arizona, where she also enjoyed the family's summer home in Alpine. After graduating from Clifton High School in 1963, she entered the University of Arizona, pursuing her degree and career in education. Along the way she decided teaching was not the ideal avenue for her, developing an avid interest in dentistry instead. She spent the next 30 years in the dental profession, managing offices and clinics in Washington state, Las Vegas for 15 years , and Dallas for 10 years. Pat accepted Jesus while in college, becoming a devout born-again Christian. She participated in several evangelical ministries, including a prison ministry in California and Nevada, and serving as Vice President, then President, of Women's Aglow in Las Vegas for several years. Her personal blessing and ministry was the gift of sacred dance which she shared in churches and Christian gatherings as the Lord directed. Thousands were blessed and uplifted at her beauty, grace, talent and devotion to the leading of the Holy Spirit. It was while she lived in Las Vegas that she kept seeing and hearing a certain radio and TV personality, Roger. Through friends of her church and Bible study, they were introduced in 1984, and immediately realized God had placed them together. They were married in 1985. In 1986 they moved to Dallas where she continued her ministry of sacred dance, and her career in the dental industry. In 1989 Pat was stricken with multiple sclerosis which soon prevented her from working. She retired the following year and enjoyed remaining at home and continuing her church activities and studies. In 1999, Pat and Roger moved to Tulsa, his hometown, where she continued her battle with MS. Then, in September 2012 she was again hospitalized, and while in emergency room the doctors discovered Pat was also suffering from stage 4 metastatic breast cancer
that had spread to her spine and skull. Pat is a divinely special, one-of-a-kind person, and is dearly loved by her family and many, many friends, and is often known as "Teeta", her special nickname. She's spoken of here in the present because she will always be with us in our hearts and spirit, remembering always her angelic eyes and smile, divine grace and nature, and never saying an unkind word. And, from time to time we will feel her presence in a gentle breeze on our cheek, or watching a shooting star as it traverses the heavens. We love you, Pat, more than words or dreams can ever say, and we'll always be with you. Visitation will be from 09:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1st, and 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Stanleys Funeral Home, 3959 East 31st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her celebration of life service will be officiated by her pastor, Dave Delaria of Giving Life Ministries of Henderson, Nevada, in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2012. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
