Patricia Ann Fahrner

Fahrner, Patricia Ann
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side, Thursday February 7, 2013. Patricia was born in Pittsburg PA on July 13, 1937 to Raymond and Marie Bottner. She graduated from St. Basil High School and continued to correspond with many friends from her youth. Pat met the love of her life, Norm in 1955. She always joked that his white Mercury convertible may have caught her eye but it was the man who stole her heart. The beautiful young woman became a lovely bride on July 13, 1957. They moved to Phoenix AZ in 1960 and were blessed with 4 children, Michael, Michelle, Mark, and Christina. She loved, led, and raised her children through example and spoiled all 8 of her grandchildren "only enough" to enjoy their laughter. As a family we always thought she loved "camping", skiing, boating, fishing (with her hands on a book instead of the pole), even dirt bike riding in the Arizona deserts, what she truly loved was her family. Career changes meant a move to Sacramento CA in 1980, then to a 10 acre horse ranch in 1985 (kind of like camping) When she finally had her family raised, retired from her job and sold the farm, I mean ranch, her true love of travel was revealed as she and Norm spent many years on adventures both near and far. She included her children on many of these new adventures, and big surprise, there was no camping. She always stayed active with her friends and was involved in several social clubs in both Arizona and California. All who knew Pat admired her energy, were infected by her smile, inspired by her love of life, and could see her faith in God. Even as cancer pulled at her strength she was never one to say "I can't." Pat will be dearly missed and always remembered by her husband of 55 years, Norm, her 4 children, 8 grandchildren, brother Bud and many friends. With all the love she gave, friends she touched and family that loved her, Heaven has one more very special angel. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to 623-583-4848 or the Cancer Research Foundation of your choice.
