Brown, Richard T.
of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away at the age of 92 on Monday, October 14, 2013. Born in Dark County, OH, on January 20, 1921, he graduated from Ohio State University
in 1942 with BS degrees in Agriculture and in Engineering. In 1965 he graduated from the University of Chicago with an MBA. He served as a Captain in the US Army in WWII
in northern Africa. His expansive business career included management positions for Oliver Farm Equipment, White Motor, and Borg-Warner. He ultimately owned his own business, Morse Rubber, in Keokuk, IA. Dick was always actively engaged in charitable organizations wherever he lived. He was recognized for his service to Habitat for Humanity. Dick is survived by Iola K. Brown, his loving wife of 70 years; his children Nancy B. Chalex (Terry) of Scottsdale, David T. Brown (Nancy) of Scottsdale, and Patricia A. Bjorgaard (Wayne) of Oconomowoc, WI; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Diane L. Lee (Andy) and two granddaughters (Alison and Amy Lee). Contributions may be made to Westminster Village of Scottsdale or Habitat for Humanity of Madison, WI. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
