Marlatt, Robert "Bob" Dale
82 of Mesa, AZ, passed away on February 6, 2013. Bob was born August 2, 1930, in Haxtun, CO, to Earl & Maree Marlatt. Bob spent his youth in Colorado, graduating from Sedgwick County High School in Julesburg, CO, as a top student. He attended linotype school in Iowa and enlisted in the Marine Corp. in 1952, serving in Korea for two years. Five years after an honorable discharge from the Marines, Bob moved to Arizona. He worked as a linotype operator and composing room foreman with the Mesa Tribune for 33 years, and retired in 1992. He spent most of his retirement years in Sunland Village, golfing and gardening when his health permitted. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; brothers - Earl and Donnie; sisters - Maxine and Avis. He is survived by his loving wife, Alma Jean; daughter - Michele; sons - Brian and John; step-daughter - Eva; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He will be missed by many others as well. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the First Christian Church of Mesa.
