Carter, Robert "Bob" Lee
86, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on January 31, 2014. Robert was born in Denver, Colorado, to Gladys and Albert Carter on September 28, 1927. He served in the Army and was a veteran of World War II. On September 9, 1949 he married Annabelle Mary Potthoff in Denver and moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1959. He worked as a manufacturer's representative for home furniture for his entire career and retired in Phoenix, Arizona. He had a passion for fishing, hunting, golf and entertaining. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and brother Donald. He is survived by his wife Annabelle; five children Jerry (Georgia) Carter, Christine Gamlen, Joan (Bob) Guidry, Daniel (Martha) Carter, and Nancy (Brett) Durkee; 15 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. The family will hold a private memorial service. The Carter family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Florey, Ted, and Nichole Oprea and the Desert Oasis Hospice for the special tender care they extended to their father.
