Ronald G. Lundeen, 71, of Scottsdale, began his new life on January 1, 2013. He was dearly loved by his children and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Born in Minot, North Dakota on June 8, 1941, to parents, Glenn & Myrtle Lundeen, he moved to Arizona at a young age. Ron graduated from Central High School and Arizona State University. He was an accomplished businessman, successfully starting several businesses in the Phoenix and Prescott areas including Acme Fence Company and RG Lundeen Properties. He was very kind hearted and had a passion for trains. He helped create the cabooses that sit at Tempe Railroad Plaza in downtown Tempe. Ron loved to joke with people and was always a caring person who would help anybody out at anytime. In his later years, he loved to travel. Ron is survived by his son, John, daughter, Nancy Smith, daughter-in-law Tammy, brother, Jerry and 4 grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Ron's life will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Hansen Mortuaries Desert Hills Memorial Park, 6500 E. Bell Road.
