Ronald Howard Judson

Judson, Ronald Howard (Ron)
83. Born in San Jose, California to Clarence Howard Judson and Mary Agnes Reddington on Dec. 2, 1930. After graduation from St. James High school in San Francisco he enlisted in the Air Force and flew in several missions over Korea. Upon returning home he joined the Police Force for the city of San Francisco. In 1959 he married the former Therese Wisniewski. He later transferred to the Fire Department where he spent the next 25 years, during which time he worked to become a Battalion chief. In 1983 he and Therese retired to Orcas Island, Washington where he was asked to take over as interim Fire Chief. Therese passed away in 1988 and Ron moved back to California. In 1990 he married the former Mary Hansen and they moved to Scottsdale, AZ. where they spent the next 24 years. During that time they enjoyed summers at dude ranch in Lions, Colorado where they taught country dancing, let trail rides, and played host and hostess. He loved being a cowboy and together he and Mary escaped the hot Arizona summers. When old back injuries resurfaced he was forced to give up work at the ranch and returned home to Scottsdale. He passed away on January 13, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. Those who loved him best include his wife Mary, his sister Faith Ansaldo and her husband Pietro, nephew Rob Ansaldo and his wife Karen, stepson Bill Westen, sister-in-law Jane Donath and Nancy Pool, best buddies Norm Alter and Marvin Pool, and most of all his beloved little Pug, Mojo. He also loved being a 'Poppy' to Lance and Amanda Gunlock. He was generous, loving and thoughtful and in lieu of flowers, he would ask that you make a donation in his name to . Services are scheduled for Thursday, January 23rd at 10:00 AM, Highlands Bible Church, Pinnacle Peak Road, Scottsdale, Arizona.
