74, of Scottsdale, passed away on April 25, 2013. Born on February 21, 1939, the son of Velma and Loren Aldridge, he lived his whole life in Arizona. He attended Osborn Elementary in Phoenix and graduated from North Phoenix High School in 1957. He also attended Phoenix College. A man who loved his country, he joined the Arizona Air National Guard in 1957. He served in the United States Air Force
overseas in 1960-61. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping. He was an avid golfer and loved bowling. He celebrated life. He retired from Allied Signal Aerospace (formerly Garrett) in 1994. He was a maintenance supervisor in the Engineering Building. He was a member of the Garrett Retiree's Club, Roy will be loved and missed by all who had the priviledge to know and love him. He was deeply dedicated to family and friends. He is survived by: his sister, Donna Aldridge; his nephews, Steven Aldridge, Jimmy Shobe, and Lance Aldridge; his nieces, Shannon Aldridge and Tina Shobe Peterson; and many great nieces and nephews; his brother-in-law, Carl Surman and sister - in- law, Dina Surman; his long time friend and fiance, Linda Olson and his "adopted" family, Katie and Robert Brakemeier and children; Kelli and Andy Thompson and children.
