Ruth Eleanore Demos

Demos, Ruth Eleanore
passed away peacefully on January 10, 2013. Ruth was born 5/23/1931 at Buffalo New York to Russell and Eleanore Crowley. She was pre/deceased by both parents, and two brothers Russell and Kenneth Crowley also of Buffalo New York. She was also pre/deceased by her first husband Paul William Backlund "Bill". She leaves behind her loving and caring husband Stephen John Demos of which they enjoyed along happy and eventful and fulfilling marriage of 38 years. She will be greatly missed by Stephen and also her three children Patrick Neal Backlund, and wife Joyce Ann Backlund of Scottsdale Arizona, Michael William Backlund of Hawthorne New Jersery, and Sherry Ruth Backlund Cornell and husband Frank William Cornell of La Quinta California.
She also leaves behind five beautiful grandchildren Justin Paul Laubach of Bangkok Thailand/La Quinta California, Joleen Carol Marie Ray, Glenda Michelle Backlund, Emily Ann Backlund, Jonathan Neal Backlund, and Great Grandaughter/Daughter of Glenda Annabella Gyzell Ybarra all of Phoenix and Scottsdale Arizona. She also leaves behind many cousins,family, and friends too many which to list, but will be missed greatly by all.
Ruth lived a very eventful life including/ with a career in banking beginning with M.T. trust Buffalo New York contuning up on her relocation to Phoenix Arizona, employed with the Arizona Bank thorugh the 1960's. She continued with the Valley National Bank attaining the postion of Vice President of Professional Services Div. retireing in 1988.
Ruth enjoyed along and eventful retirement traveling to many different places worldwide.
She also had a passion for her hobby of geneology to which she traced her many ancestors mainly of her Irish descent and also traveling to many places of her ancestors. She enjoyed doing this with her Daughter Sherry whom also shared this passion with her. She will be missed greatly by her many family, friends of all mentioned and not mentioned. In lieu of flowers donations would be greatly apprecated in her name to . Final funeral arrangments and services will be private among family members.
