78, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on April 19, 2013. Stan was born on December 12, 1934 to Stanley and Irene Dailey. Stan grew up in North Hollywood, CA. He attended North Hollywood High School where he excelled in athletics, holding the shot put record for over 2 decades. After high school, he attended Los Angeles City College. Stan served his country in the Air Force. Upon his release, he joined the Los Angeles Police Department. Finding law enforcement not a perfect fit, Stan joined the Los Angeles Fire Department where he worked until his retirement. Stan and his first wife, Barbara, who preceded him in death, had 4 children. Michael, who passed at age 6. Kathleen, Kenneth and Laura. Stan remarried and added many beloved stepchildren and grandchildren. Stan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He lived a life devoted to the service of others. A memorial will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 4th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 2995 E Frye Rd, Phoenix The family extends its sincere thanks to Stan's loving friends, Comprehensive Hospice Care and Sante of Chandler for the compassionate care Stan received in his final days.
