On Thursday July 18, 2013, with his three children and wife by his side, Thomas Henry Bischoff of Casa Grande, AZ passed away after a long battle with emphysema.
Tom was born on December 4, 1941 in Indianapolis, IN. He moved to Phoenix, AZ when he was 15 and attended North High.
In 1964,Tom joined the Navy and served two 6 month tours in Iceland along with several others in various parts of Europe. Upon returning from duty, Tom married Judy Foley of Portland, ME. They moved to Phoenix where they raised three children together. Tom served for several years in the Phoenix Air National Guard. He later retired from a career with the phone company.
Tom coached softball and baseball for his children's teams.
He enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for family birthdays. He had been an avid fisherman, bowler and golfer.
On Halloween of 1997, Tom married Jean Lietz Bischoff. Years later they moved to Casa Grande when he retired from his job at Tesinc.
Tom is preceded in death by his mother and father Margaret and Henry Bischoff and his sister Joan Bischoff Svarczkopf.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Jean Lietz Bischoff; daughters Kelly Bischoff, Becky (Chandler) Moore, his son Scott Bischoff, granddaughters Faith and Kady Moore, his former wife Judy Bischoff, nephew Stephen Svarczkopf and niece Cheryl Svarczkopf Bertovich.
A Celebration of Tom's life will be held in October.
