82, Glendale, Arizona, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Tony was born in Tolleson, Arizona to Antonio and Eleanor (Vega) Moreno. Tony was a loving husband to his wife for 62 years and caring father to six daughters. Tony served in the Korean Conflict War as an army corporal from 1951 through 1953. Tony was a dedicated City of Phoenix employee for 38 years and was recognized for his tremendous work as a Lead Heavy Equipment Operator. Tony had many special memories with the city especially the time when he saved the lives of two construction workers that had fallen into a trench. Tony was highly recognized for his bravery. Tony loved to watch sports and especially the Dallas Cowboys. Tony is survived by his wife Lupe (Razo) and his six daughters: Kathy (Rodriguez), Cecilia (Finn), Patricia (Heydenreich), Debra (Stephenson), Laura (Best), Sylvia (Rivera) in addition to six grandsons, seven granddaughters and five great-grandchildren. Tony leaves one sister, Carmen Trinidad and preceded in death by five brothers. Services will be held Friday, May 24 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 10815 N. 35th Ave, Phoenix with a viewing at 10am and mass at 11am. Graveside services will follow mass at West Resthaven Cemetery , 6450 W Northern, Glendale.
