Velma Anderson, 97, died Feb 4, 2013 in Phoenix, AZ. She was born Sep 10, 1915, in Mound, MN to Warren and Elliea Cressy. She graduated Mound High School and was the last survivor of the Class of 1933. She married Harold Anderson and they lived in Maple Plain, MN, until their move to Phoenix, AZ in 1954. Her parents, brothers Orville and Melvin (Bud), sister Elaine Alger, husband Harold, sons, Wayne, Merrill and Paul preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters Marlene Rocklin (Stan) of Mesa, AZ, and Sharon Formica of Kona, HI., grandchildren Rick Navratil of Phoenix, Cindy Reilly (Lyle) of Chandler, AZ, and Kris Formica of Kona, HI, great granddaughters Emma and Lindsay Formica of Phoenix, and Mellissa Reilly of Chandler, great, great,
grandson Reilly Gauman of Chandler, and many nieces and nephews. Velma was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to express thanks to the staffs at Mission Palms of Mesa, and Hospice of Arizona for their compassionate care of Velma over the past months. Graveside services Friday, Feb. 15, 10:00 AM, at Greenwood Memory Lawn, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Arizona.
