Werner "Vern" Franz Schneider, 73, of Glendale, AZ passed away peacefully in the presence of his beloved daughters and son on December 2, 2012. Werner was born and raised in Beckum, Germany to Killian and Hedwig Schneider before immigrating to Phoenix, AZ in 1957. Vern enlisted and served in the US Coast Guard reserves for 8 years and worked in the plumbing trade his entire career, retiring from MJ Schneider Plumbing in 2005. He was a proud member of the UA Local 469 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Manfred and wives Carolyn Sue (1975) and Shirley (2008). He is survived by his sisters Marga and Doris, daughters Heidi (Bill) and Susan (Mark), son Eddie (Jean), grandchildren Jonathon, Maggie, Matthew and Crystal (Kyle), great grandchildren Sedona and Sampzen, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. Vern was a strong and loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. Visitation will be from 12:30 - 1:30 PM on Monday, December 10th at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N 27th Ave, Phoenix. Funeral services immediately following visitation.
