Faithful servant, father, friend, William "Bill" E. Butler ascended into his heavenly father's arms August 14, 2013. Bill was a happy person and deeply touched all those he came in contact with throughout his life. He was a Veteran of Army Air Force as a Flight Engineer during WWII in both theaters. He retired to Sun City after 42 years with Conrail to begin a new life of volunteerism . He volunteered in the original AARP office as AARP Vice President , AARP state coordinator and trainer in the 55 Alive Program, Interfaith Services, Red Cross Van Driver, Stephen Minister, Grief counselor, and other various church organizations. He also was a member of the Sun City Poetry Society where the nonagenarian was loved for his verse with a twist. His wife passed away ten years ago. He is survived by his younger brother (OH), 2 daughters, 1 son, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday, 13 Oct 2013 at Lakeview United Methodist Church.
