William H. Davis

Davis, William H.
went home to be with the Lord at age 78, on November 18th, 2012. Bill was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend to all. He was a strong man of faith with a deep love of God through Jesus Christ his personal Savior. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret who together had a blessed relationship from their teenage years through today. Bill's children loved him deeply and included Cathie Chatham along with her sons Garett and Tyler (Dallas); Terrie Davis-Saenz along with her husband Richard and their sons Stetson and Colter; Todd Davis and his wife Marsha along with their daughters Chelsea and Katie. Bill was the son of Harold and Jane Davis (deceased) and brother to Mary Ann Hagestad. He grew up in Indiana before coming to Phoenix in 1944 at the age of 10. He graduated from North High School and Arizona State University. Bill retired from his accounting practice just a few years ago which was one of the longest running businesses in Scottsdale. He was past president of the Scottsdale Rotary Club, volunteer treasurer at Scottsdale Bible Church and Scottsdale Christian Academy, and served in the Sun Devil Club and Scottsdale Quarterback Club. Bill was known for his sense of humor, love of fishing, caring for clients, helping in the community and his loyal dedication to faith, family and friends. Those that knew him will miss his sense of humor and quick wit, the "how are you doing" phone calls and genuine concern for others. Celebration of Life services will be at 11:00 a.m. on December 1st, 2012 at Scottsdale Bible Church Chapel, 7901 East Shea Blvd, just east of the Main Campus. The family invites you to the celebration and reception immediately following at the Chapel Reception Room. Donations are suggested to Bill's favorite Bell Ringers of the holiday season at the Salvation Army.
