Goodrich, Gary
Gary DeWain Goodrich, 79, of Mesa, passed away on March 7. A native of Phillipsburg, Kansas, Gary graduated from Marion (Ind.) College and attended Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City. Gary served in the U.S. Army for two years, then pastored a church in Grand Blanc, Michigan, before moving to Arizona in 1969. He worked as a driver's license examiner for 12 years, taking a medical retirement in 1984. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Donna; son Robert, daughters Patty and Janet McCarty, son-in-law Ned McCarty, two granddaughters Heather and Lindsay McCarty, and brother Bobby Joe . Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 955 E. University Dr., Mesa, Arizona. Gary's final resting place will be the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.

Although I did not know Gary personally, I feel as though he was my friend because of his lovely wife, Donna. This loss is very sad, but we know he is in heaven with Jesus, waiting to welcome so many others when they come home!
