I knew Jay through his work relationship with my father and became good friends of his son Eric in our teens. Jay is one of those men who I chose to model my life after; work hard, be sincere, have fun. Love and miss you Jay.

I met Mr. Dushoff on only a few occasions, so knew about him mostly from my late father, Bill Lenihan, who was a right of way appraiser for ADOT for many years. In that capacity and in other appraisal work, dad came to know and to greatly respect Mr. Dushoff. He told us that Mr. Dushoff was not only an excellent attorney, but also one of the finest and most honest men he had ever known. My deepest sympathy to his family in the loss of this good man.

Jay was a remarkable lawyer who I will remember for his passion for property rights. He connected the dots between property rights and liberty. He understood so well how one's lifetime could be upended when their property was taken by the goverment and they were not treated fairly. Jay fought for so many over his career and won the respect of all for the way he practiced law. He will be hard to replace and we will miss him.-Joseph T. Waldo Norfolk,Virginia

I've been a colleague of Jay's for the past few years in a group of property rights lawyers from across the country, and I am very sad to hear of his passing, He could be counted on to add the voice of reason and experience to our discussions, and I always looked for his input since he had what I would call "the long view" -- no nonsense, straight to the point, and right on the money. I will miss him and his wise counsel.

Dushoff family -

Jay was a remarkable lawyer, especially in the condemnation law area. He was a respected advocate, with superior skills.

May the many memories he helped create find root in your hearts and bring sweet recollection to your minds as you both mourn and celebrate his life.

Jay spoke at career day at Brophy Prep in 1969. I will never forget his electric presentation and love for the law. Time to time I would see him about town and he would always have a kind word and funny story. He will be missed.
