Middlebrook, Reverend Albert W
Reverend Albert W. Middlebrook, age 99, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 22, 2016. Albert was born in Potter, NY on June 11, 1916. He served honorably in the US Navy during World War II. In 1952, he was ordained at the First Baptist Church in Geneva, NY. Albert moved his family to Arizona in 1961 where he taught at Phoenix Christian High School and Southwestern College (AZ Christian University) and also substituted at many schools throughout the Phoenix area. He was instrumental in establishing the Light Bearers Christian Ministry in Phoenix. He faithfully served as a member of Bethany Bible Church for 55 years. He loved his Lord, his family and many dear friends. He enjoyed learning and teaching, watching and feeding "his" birds, working puzzles and sharing his "Albert jokes." He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his daughters Beth Middlebrook and JoAnne Mathieu (Jim); grandchildren Josh Mathieu (Alison), Nicki Swanson (Nick) and Kelly Sykes (Nate); and great-grandchildren Lucas, Lyndin, and Locklan Swanson; and Kaelyn and Micah Sykes. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Bethany Bible Church 6060 N. 7th Avenue Phoenix, AZ 85013. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Bethany Bible Church or to the Light Bearers Christian Ministry, is 2654 N. 41st Ave #4 Phoenix, AZ 85009. Arrangements made by A.L.
